  • IMPETUS ensures the implementation of preventive measures through recruitment strategies that can help recruiters check workers’ age, so that every person is recruited in accordance with all the applicable requirements of the Portuguese law;

  • IMPETUS manages its workforce through its skills instead of forced labour, either physical obligation, psychological enforcement, threats or other methods related to slave labour, prison labour or human trafficking;

  • IMPETUS ensures and promotes guidelines in areas such as workplace health, hygiene, environment and wellness;

  • IMPETUS disapproves and prohibits any kind of discrimination and harassment and treats all workers with dignity, courtesy, and respect in terms of recruitment and remuneration, regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, civil status, nationality, political opinion, social class or ethnic origin.

  • Due to its openness, transparency and concern for the workforce, IMPETUS considers that the workers do not need to form associations and/or to join and create trade unions of their choice in order to negotiate collectively with the company. However, IMPETUS recognises freedom of association and representation, according to the free will and choice of the workforce;

  • IMPETUS provides working conditions in compliance with the working hours and remuneration regulations outlined in the Portuguese law;

  • IMPETUS identifies and manages the exposure to risks resulting from economic, environmental and social impacts of its activity;

  • IMPETUS complies with national and European legislation and with the recommendations drawn by the organisations it belongs to and related to its activity sector;

  • IMPETUS preserves the environment and promotes the adoption of environmentally responsible procedures along the value chain;

  • IMPETUS supports and respects human rights, protects the right to work, and promotes balance between life at work and family life;

  • IMPETUS shall endeavour to minimize environmental impacts by managing the consumption of natural resources, in compliance with the legal requirements in force;

  • IMPETUS shall ensure the continuous improvement of the Social Responsibility Management System.
